‍Students at Lift Sir Herbert Leon celebrate strong GCSE and BTEC achievements!

Students and staff at Lift Sir Herbert Leon are celebrating the 2025 GCSE and BTEC results.

This year’s students were in their last year at primary school when schools were locked down, and faced a very different start to their secondary education, at the start of the pandemic.

Many congratulations to all our students for their outstanding achievements this year. You may view our performance data on the DfE school performance tables website.

Students have shown resilience and determination throughout their studies, with many students achieving the grades required to go on to sixth form, for A levels, BTECs and further vocational study.

Lift Sir Herbert Leon congratulates all of their students, with some of the high performers including:

Hissan Khan, achieved one grade 9, two grade 8s, three grade 7s, two grade 6s and a grade 5. He intends to study A levels in Business, English Language and IT at MK College.
Rakesh Sivalingeswaran achieved two grade 9s, three grade 8s, one grade 7, two grade 6s and two grade 5s. He intends to study A levels in Computer Science, Maths and Physics at MK College.
Charley Lee achieved one grade 9, two grade 8s, two grade 7s and three grade 6s. She intends to study A levels in Maths, Psychology and Sociology in a local 6th Form.
Indira Hinkson achieved one grade 9, one grade 8, four grade 7s, one grade 6 and one grade 4. She intends to study A Levels in English, History and Sociology at Shenley Brook End.
Phillip Ajose achieved one grade 8, four grade 7s, three grade 6s and two grade 5s. He intends to study A levels in Chemistry, Computer Science and Maths at Walton High.

Associate Principal at Lift Sir Herbert Leon, Damian McGeehin, said of the students’ success:

“It is great to see so many smiling students receiving results that they have worked very hard for. We are delighted to share in their success today and look forward to hearing about their next steps.”

Regional education director at Lift Schools, Nabila Jiwa said:

“This is another brilliant year for our students at Lift Sir Herbert Leon. I hope they are happy with the results they are receiving today, after a lot of hard work, both from our young people and the support from staff and their parents and carers.”

Rebecca Boomer-Clark, CEO of Lift Schools said:

“Many congratulations to all of our GCSE students who yet again have some really great results. We know that many have faced challenges and I want to wish them luck with whatever they choose to do next.”
